Avon Products Appoints New Global President

Avon Products Inc just made the announcement that they have appointed a new global president- Miguel Fernandez. He will begin his duties and assume official responsibility as Global President of Avon on August 14, 2017.

Miguel Fernandez will be working at the Avon Headquarters that resides in London, England. He is taking over for former Global President, John Higson. John Higston is retiring after 32 successful years with the Avon company.

Miguel Fernandez has more than 20 years of extensive experience in the field including International direct selling experience, expertise in the market’s operations, and has demonstrated all the skills and knowledge necessary that will complement the company.

His new job at Avon Products Inc follows a decade of serving another Direct Marketing great, Herbalife Ltd. There he was Director of Managing and EVP (Executive Vice President.) When he served the World-Wide Marketing leader – he also worked as the Director of Managing in Mexico, the Vice President of Distributor Operations and the VP of Finance.

Sheri McCoy, Chief Executive Officer at Avon said: “I am delighted to welcome an executive of Miguel’s caliber to Avon’s leadership team. Miguel’s expertise in general management, global sales, marketing and operational excellence, will help us accelerate changes in our commercial operations and drive profitable growth.”

McCoy further noted her sincere thanks for John’s long service stint and commented on his endless contributions to the company. She wished him well on his future ventures in business and in his retirement.
